This is a not to be missed hotel restaurant in the heart of Ballater, amid the wonderful Cairngorm scenery. Try the Whale and Tatties, aka fish and chips,and the beef lasagne - they are wonderful.

Wouldrecommend this friendly, hospitable Hotel. The owners make you feel so welcome and nothing is too much trouble. Cosy warm atmosphere with a selection of excellent home cooked satisfying food. Keep up the good work,,,, I'll definately be back

My wife and I stayed two nights at the Alexandra as I had a business meeting in Banchory. We had a great stay - so relaxing and refreshing, with excellent and easy-going but professional staff. Great food, great accommodation, and nothing too much for the owners and staff. Highly recommended; so much so, we are back in three weeks!

This is a great place to stay with great food, very friendly and helpful staff and very welcoming. The rooms are clean and comfortable with great views. We would reccomend The Alexandra to anyone.
