Stayed in Sidbury for 3 nights and as this is the only pub in the village we went in. We were the only ones in there and the landlord looked very down, beer was good. People of Sidbury use this pub or lose it, you have been warned.

We have been staying at the Red Lion now for around 10 years and we absolutely love it, good sized comfortable rooms with all you need, wonderful old pub lounge which does is always open when we get back from an evening out, Sidbury is a lovely location and just a short bus ride away from the town of Sidmouth... stayed for a couple of nights when our daughter graduated from Exeter University....best nights sleep we have had for ages...comfy beds and very peaceful surroundings... brilliant value for the money and the breakfast served was second to none...cereal plus full english plus toast and marmalade set us up for the day brilliantly!

Visited early July of this year. Checked in and checked straight out within 5 minutes. Taken to room through bar, which had not been cleaned - dirty glasses on bar etc. Room not great -carpetted bathroom which didn't strike me as hygenic.
