Well it's a big old hotel with the feel of an old hospital perhaps. The building is old and full of character with it's public rooms downstairs with hugely high ceilings etc. Like most of Scarborough (and in fact most UK seaside resorts) it is unquestionably dated...but we loved it. we booked this last minute as a family trip for 2 nights with 3 children aged 5,9 & 12. The kids thought it was fantastic, enjoyed the games room and the pool. The Hotel is very clean, rooms are large, don't let any comments about needing updating put you off as this all adds to the feel of the place.... More
