I had stayed at this lovely hotel over 20 years ago on being posted to this town. The town has changed somewhat but the standard of this hotel has not dropped and although the owners are different they welcomed us as if they new us. The rooms are comfortable and the rooms facing the shore have a beutiful view. Our... More

This was a second choice place for us and we left with mixed feelings about the place. The hotel was beautiful with spotless rooms and a lovely breakfast but we found that at times we were talked to as if we were children. There seemed to many things that needed to be 'pointed out' to us, watching the walls whilst... More

We stayed here in May 2008 for a family wedding in Dunoon. The house was in an ideal location, being a few minutes from the town centre in one direction, and a few minutes to the church in the other. Our room had a fantastic and uninterrupted sea view, and the bay windows allowed us to see the town and... More

We had a fantastic weekend at The Cedars. The room was spotless and spacious with wonderful views of the Clyde . Breakfast was beautifully presented and very tasty, the perfect start to any day. The service was very friendly and they were very helpful providing information on local walks and things to do. The Cedars is a 5 minute walk... More

We have just returned from a few days in Dunoon, staying at The Cedars Guesthouse. Starting by finding this gem of a place from their very professional website, to the day we left, Patrick, the owner, could not do enough for us. This type of customer satisfaction cannot be taught, it has to be a natural instinct, and so it... More

OK, it is a Guest House really. Lovely, quiet situation set back from the road and with great views of the Clyde. Easy parking. 5 minutes walk to centre of Dunoon and to excellent restaurants like the Cantina and Chatters. Patrick was cut out to be a host. He maintains the Cedars in immaculate condition. I really mean immaculate. Spotless... More
