During a recent stay we enjoyed a really delicious dinner, perfectly cooked & presented. We like to eat out regularly & are real 'foodies' so the pork terrine with black pudding was a treat. Following this was an elegantly presented duo of Lamb, cooked to perfection & we enjoyed the presentation & the fact that the vegetables complimented the dish well.... More

A party of 40 had a pleasant 3 night stay here. The rooms were spacious, the amenities good and the water was hot! The bedroom windows opened too. This is a friendly hotel where the staff are anxious to please and any small error is rectified quickly and with apologies. The food was good especially the choices at breakfast, though... More

The leewood hotel is probably at present the best hotel to stay in if your visiting Buxton. I have stayed in 4 main hotels in Buxton and this is the Hotel that I would recommend. On their website the hotel claims that it overlooks the park. This is a false claim as it looks onto a private residential road called... More

Thank You for taking the time to leave your review on Trip Advisor. With regards to our information stating we overlook the park, the land in which you are describing which contains Buxton Cricket Ground etc has historically always been called the “Devonshire Park” not to be confused with the Pavilion gardens which as you stated is around 10 minute... Thank you for our excellent 3 night stay at your hotel. We were all there for a family reunion. Your staff were fantastic and we would like to thank them all very much. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble for them. Reception, bar staff and the dining room staff made our stay very enjoyable. The rooms were very comfortable... More

A good comfortable stay However the hotel is looking a little dated and could do with a revamp. The staff were very friendly and the hotel is in a great location for Buxton and the Opera House. The breakfast was freshly cooked and not buffet style a great plus .We ate in the restaurant on the first evening and although... More

We stayed here as a base for what turned out to be a rather wet week's walking and chose this hotel for its proximity to the town, so that we'd be able to just stroll out to eat in the evenings. Having said that, we ate in the lovely conservatory dining room on the first night and it was so... More
