This is a modern built Travelodge based in a retail park so plenty of restaurants to choose from, I recall McD's, Pizza Express, Harvester, Frankie & Bennys, Nandos, TGI Fridays & others I forget, there's also adjacent gym facilities, a cinema and a bowling alley so plenty to do without driving anywhere. As is often the case I went for... More

Another Essex Travelodge which has the potential to be OK but lets itself down by lack of decent cleaning standards. Again my room was only superficially clean. The receptionist was friendly and efficient. My room was directly above the entrance and, to be fair, I heard very little noise from customers of other establishments on the retail park. At least... Well its a Travelodge - basic, no frills accommodation, So if that is what you are expecting you will probably be ok. A couple of friends and I needed a hotel for just one night and we managed to book an advance (no refund rate) of £25.50 a room. For our £25.50 each, we each got a very clean, fairly... More

I currently live away from my partner so when I had a free weekend I travelled to Basildon to see him and instead of staying in a family members house we wanted our own space, so I booked a room at this travelodge for 1 night (saturday) costing £60. This was the best price I could find as the Holiday... More

Well basically everytime iv been to this travelodge something bad has happened like last year, we got given our room key and wen we went to go in it was already occupied by a couple and we walked in on them at it. I never complained due to human error but a year on the same receptionist was on and... More

I could not fault this travelodge, as it was clean, tidy and situated perfectly, with all the amenities to Fine Dine or go to the flicks or clubbing at the opposite end. The accomodation was quiet and much better than the one at Southend on Sea, which is too close to main street. With lots of traffic! More

Had booked and paid for my room online a few days before. I arrived quite late in the evening, to be told my room had not been kept and that there was no room left for me. They said it WAS THEIR POLICY that they overbook on purpose and if you don't get there in time, despite having PAID FOR... More

We booked three rooms here on Christmas night due to having family over and not enough room for them all to stay. In my room, the bedside table had been removed from one side of the bed (it looked as though it had been ripped from the wall!) but the bed itself was quite comfortable. This is by no means... More

we arrived on Monday just gone, the receptionist was very nice, explained in detail how the electronic swipe card worked, and that was that. when we got to our room however, we found that the veneer on the furniture was lifting off, missing in some places, scuff marks on the wall and one bedside cabinet had been ripped off of...
