A pleasant enough hotel, the bedroom had recently been refurbished, was a bit cold and the bathroom floor colder. Breakfast was a solo plate, one sausage, one bacon, one egg, one tomato etc nice black pudding. Easy walking into the town center and a decent enough real ale pub opposite.

I'd like to conclude my stay at Ely House Hotel as follows: service was excellent, quality of rooms surpassed my expectations, breakfast freshly cooked and well organised, overall a fine hotel and a fine experience. The room I stayed in was one which hasn't been renovated. It was very shabby and tatty and the only thing going for it was that it was a reasonable size. However the bathroom wasn't great, there was ceiling staining and the towels had holes in. No plug for the bath, and it smelled bad. Wifi didn't even come close... More
