What a miserable place.Would never stay again. Food appalling, Staff hoovering in breakfast area when we are eating breakfast, Rooms too dark. Pool had a swimming lesson for kids going on. We were supposed to be having a relaxing spa break. Gave the spa a swerve after other members of our party said how disappointed they were with in particular... More

I booked a spa day here via SpaBreaks as a girls get-together, as one of my friends has terminal cancer. She was unable to attend in the event, and to a degree I'm relieved she didn't have to suffer the day as we did. Before the day of the spa, I had called to enquire as to the availability of... More

I stay in this hotel twice every month. Its the best hotel in the Warrington area, however, there is something missing re the 4 start status. Bar and restuarant area are good, food fine and with a startbucks cafe. However, rooms are too dark and sometimes very dusty. Bobbled blankets at the bottom of the bed are so 1990's, need... More

The hotel is in a good location just outside the town centre and doesn't suffer from any external noise. The rooms are as you would expect from the Village brand and my room was clean and looked quite new. Check in was terrible as only one receptionist on duty was checking people in and the other seemed busy filing. Eventually... More

The village Hotel web site promises a lot and failed to deliver. I travel for business a lot so my expectations are fairly reasonable. The rooms are very noisy (caused by wall mounted televisions), small and dark. We ordered a room service salad and were delivered a plate with six tiny leaves which came in at £5.50!!!!! Worst of all... More

this is a great little hotel if you're into the dark chic and (has to be said) clean rooms approach a la hotel du vin without the price tag. HOWEVER, if you dare to want anything cooked i.e. room service or even walking into the bistro to ask to take something to your room after 10 pm forget it! kitchen... More

I've spent a lot of nights at The Village and it has it's pros and cons. Over time I've become less tolerant of the cons, hence the poor review score. Pros: health club, free wifi, good beds, good showers Cons: TV noise, average food The biggest problem by far is the TV noise. Each room has a TV built into... More

Stayed here for one night, on arrival hotel seemed very nice, staff were friendly, clean reception with a starbucks on site. Had a room on first floor, bed was very comfy, disapointed that there was no biscuits to go with the tea tray, only gave you enough milk and sugar to have one cuppa, no soaps or shampoos in the...
