We enjoyed our stay here. My partner particularly loved the breakfasts and proclaimed the bacon the best he had ever had! We liked that you could use the lovely farmhouse kitchen and Toby was really helpful (bordering on being over-bearing at times, we sneaked out really quietly one evening so as not to get involved in another really long conversation!... The Britannia House sits in a great location across from the train station and a short walk into town but is also, suprisingly, very quiet. But what really stands out though is the hospitality of the host, Tobi. He was happy to make recommendations on where to eat, visit and provide a wealth of information about the area. At breakfast... This is the first time I have ever stayed at a B&B and wasn't too sure what to expect, but I really loved it! We arrived late which Tobi was fine with and even called to offer directions if needed. When we got there we were shown to our room which was the only one on the top floor and... More

My sister introduced me to Britannia House last Summer, she’s been visiting for years, and we returned, together with some friends we recommended it to, last October - and I have been meaning to write a review ever since. Once again we had a wonderful stay in host Tobi’s especially comfortable, relaxed and welcoming house. This time we stayed in... More

We enjoyed this bed and breakfast, the bed was comfy and the breakfast was excellent. We stayed for 2 nights and were delighted to leave the cars safely parked just outside (for free) and enjoy the warmth and comfort of the Britannia whilst whiling away a relaxed and happy weekend in Lymington. We went out of season but were lucky... More

We had a 3 night break here in early Feb. Had the Britannia Room on the first floor. Lovely room with large bathroom. Bath and separate shower. Lovely big lounge which we had to ourselves. Cooked breakfast was 1st class with good choice of cereals and juice. Short walk to town with many good pubs and restaurants. Located just across... More

We stayed at Britannia House in January, at a special winter weekend rate; this made it excellent value. Britannia House offers quirky and comfortable accommodation, well located for Lymington town centre. The owner, Tobi, plays 'mine host' to perfection (and cooks a superb breakfast) and is clearly passionate about his business. We are fussy guests, but couldn't find any real... More

Stayed here with my husband who has stayed many times. This place is a little hidden treasure within walking distance of the town centre but tucked away in a nice quiet spot. Our room was prettily decorated with everything we could need and very clean. There is a pleasant little courtyard to enjoy a glass of wine or coffee if... More

Very conveniently situated but our room was rather dark & cluttered with ornaments, some of which were quite dusty. The en-suite shower room was tiny, with the smallest wash handbasin I've ever seen. Tobi repeatedly mentioned his 5* rating. He does not live on the premises but helpfully gives customers a mobile number to contact if needed. The breakfast was... More

Thank you for submitting your review. I am sorry to hear that you were not happy with your stay. However, as your stay was 5 (!) months ago, unfortunately I am not in any position to recollect the circumstances. With regard to breakfast times, we are as flexible as we are. Wishing you all the best, I remain your host... More
