We enjoyed a family meal out for fourteen. The service was excellent from the service at the bar to the restaurant aervice and the quality of food really good. We preordered our meals which worked really well. Our meals were good value for money.

“Modern rooms, website doesn't do it justice!”

I stayed here for work in April 2013. After browsing online we picked the Kirkwall Hotel as we'd heard the restaurant was nice. On the website the hotel, and especially the rooms, looks quite old. I was pleasantly surprised! Modern rooms with flat screen tvs. The restaurant is good, and reception staff are happy to help.

“Weekend stay April 2013”

Staff were very attentive and pleasant, and the food was second to none, both in terms of quality and quantity. All the food was freshly cooked and locally sourced and the bar had a great selection of malt whiskies. All the people in my party were of the same opinion. I definitely hope to return sometime soon.

“Large group trip - well looked after”

32 members of large group visiting the northern isles stayed here over easter weekend. fabulously looked after by the hotel staff. Breakfast excellent!! The attached skippers bar was an absolute island experience dream. Rooms a little dated, but I felt gave the place character. Definitely would stay again.
