I informed him I had a 60 mile round trip so please leave the receipt in the lobby [which is always open].Sure enough this was to difficult... More

An overbooking at another guesthouse meant that I found myself at Solheim. Room standard but clean and double bed for 6'4"a plus. Good bacon and eggs and seat outside to finish coffee.

stayed this week for 1 night. This place has a 3 star Scottish tourist board rating. Why? Do they really like dust, poor heating, limmited plug sockets and bed bugs that much? I know what i'm getting when I book a B and B and am generally happy but this place has many faults. Granted its in a good location,... More

Rooms ok, however, no toilet paper in en suit , no soap for the shower, towels long since seen better days. Breakfast not of a quality I would have the nerve to put on a guests plate, very low quality produce used relsulting in a non edible plate of burnt or undercooked eggs, sausages with less meat content than an... Located in the old town area of Lerwick, surrounded by handsome stone built houses and just a 10 minute walk from town centre, Museum and harbour, this was a pleasant stay. The owner was very pleasant and helpful, the breakfast good quality. Nothing modern about the rooms, but then Lerwick as a whole doesn't go for modernity - just comfortable.

We stayed for one night after phoning around and finding that several other places were fully booked. The owners of Solheim were very friendly and helpful, the central location is excellent and there is plenty of street parking. Our room was very large, however it was not as clean as we would have liked, and the guest house in general... More

This a convenient guest house if you have a car as there is ample car parking in the street. It's within easy walking distance of the town centre.

Renovated Victorian House in Lerwick. 5 minutes walk to the main street. The B&B is clean, well heated and the bed are very comfortable. Breakfast is good and the staff are friendly. I stay here every time I go to Shetland
