Hadn't been for a while but returned to the Salutation to find it under new management. Good selection of food, family favourites, freshly cooked. Friendly service & good value for money. Freshly baked scones & delicious cakes. Enjoyed by all the family. Will be back!

Stayed for 2 nights whilst on a touring break. Sorry,this is so negative but it really isnt the place to stay. On arrival the reception door was locked.I was told anyone could walk in ? Stayed for 3 nights and had a great time. Excellent breakfast choice, the food perfectly cooked to your liking nothing was too much trouble. Rooms spotlessly clean and beds made every morning, usually while you were eating breakfast! Extremely friendly staff who will help in anyway they can.
