This Travelodge is based at the Dean Clough Mills which is accessible via. Gate 9. The rooms are mainly immaculate. Because this was more for an evening out, it was a very convenient position. Downside, as it generally shows in this type of budget hotel are: heat marks above the radiator in the room and the pipework for the shower... More

Appalling. Spent a night here after a 12 hour working day and to avoid a long drive home. Post code on website is wrong, receptionist laughed on phone when i rang in complete frustration to ask where i was going.. Once i found it, the recptionist comment of 'yes we know its wrong but they wont change it' was beyond... More

The receptionist was very slow and not welcoming at all, but my husband and I just put it down to her having a bad day and laughed it off. Later that night 2:30am she called my husband’s phone ordering him to reception, obviously we did not know what was going on and to be woken at that hour was not... More

This is a budget hotel but I was very pleased with it. There is a comment on this page about the check in time/£10 payment for early check in, but this is clearly noted on the booking info., so why was the guest surprised?? The computers are 'locked' timewise, so they can't be overwritten, but I was happy enough sitting... More

We booked a family room for a wedding we attended just before Easter and I can only say it was the worst 'Budget' hotel I have ever stayed in. We arrived at the hotel in between wedding venues at 14:40 and was told we could not check in (20 minutes early). I could understand this if we tried to check... More

We paid £10 for one night here. This has got to be the best value hotel in Halifax. Reception was very welcoming and eventually allowed us to bring in our trainee guide dog for nothing. The room was extremely clean. A request for an extra pillow was satisfied very quickly with one brought up to our room. There was an... More

We booked a family room in the Travelodge sale over the half term break to take the kids to Eureka children's museum in nearby Halifax. After reading some of the negative reviews I expected poor service, scruffy rooms etc .... thankfully there was neither. The Travelodge is set in the Dean Clough converted mill development and was impressive. Great size... More

We have stayed here a few times and have no complaints at all, we love it. Staff are very helpful and friendly. The rooms are very clean and the family rooms are spacious. We originally stayed at the Travelodge on our first visit to Halifax and wasn't impressed so we tried premier inn on the next visit and we've stayed... More

Worst Travelodge I've ever stopped in! The reception is unattended and they have notice which tells you to 'hang around' someone checks the desk every 15 minutes, the rooms are very worn and old, basically not very inviting at all. To top our stay off at 8am the next morning it sounded firstly like there was a group of people... More

Two of us stayed for two nights Dec 29/30 2011 and paid £20 in total. We had a clean, comfortable family room in the centre of Halifax in an attractively converted mill( perhaps I'm biased as I was brought up in Yorkshire and like mills!) Cheaper than staying at home and a really good way to visit family over Christmas.... More
