I booked 2 night stay for 14th/15th June for a birthday weekend for my partner. The Room we were allocated was dirty, grubby and worn. No TV remote ,so went to ask for one. No chance. Spent 10 minutes in the room and decided we just could not stay in there. Asked to change room, the staff were lovely and... More

Going to this hotel as a group and knowing it was cheap was the advantage of this "hotel" but lets clear this up first it was more like a boarding house than a hotel. Arrival and check in was fairly smooth, the girl who checked us in was efficient and plesant, no complaints there, a few of our party had... More

On arrival it was obvious the Hotel had seen better days, the receptionist was polite friendly and helpful which seemed very good, I had room 203 on opening the door I was hit by a very musty smell, which went after a short while with the window open. On opening the window I saw the window box which in fact... More

Although our room was clean and tidy(209) the bathroom had a cracked toilet bowl and sink the mixer tap did not work so it was impossible to have a shower. There was no wardrobe just a little cupboard to small to hang anything up in and just four coat hangers on the wall... As we were at a wedding all... More

Me and my friend booked this hotel at last min, we read through the reviews and thought it was going to be poor. we got in and the staff were very welcoming and helpful. If we went to the festival they kept our key so we knew it was safe. The rooms were really good too with a tv, kettle... More

£90 for a triple room.. As 3 women going for a one night break we required 3 beds, a shower and a toilet so we didn't put much thought into our bookings and though £90 was reasonable. £90 was a disgraceful price to charge for the horrible room we had. The room was very dated which we would have accepted... More

The location itself justifies good value, as its over looking the tyne. There is a smell from the tyne however when the tide is out....but out of the hotel's hands! Newcastle city centre is easily accessible by foot on quite a lovely walk along the tyne, which on sunny days is lovely. The hotel looks pleasant from the outside, the... More

Stayed here over a weekend in March 2013 with friends. Located a short taxi journey from Newcastle centre (£6-12 fare) the hotel has several rooms on multiple floors. Staff were generally friendly although didn't go out of their way to help. The rooms were terrible. On walking in they look recently decorated in relatively modern fashion and were spacious, however... More
