We were a little apprehensive before visting this hotel as the hotel decor looked a little old fashioned in the pictures and we prefer modern style hotels. True enough the decor was a little old fashioned for our taste but the room was very big, comfortable and spotless. The views from the window were outstanding. I really enjoyed using the... More

We have been recently using the travelzoo website and have been to some of the five star offers that they have advertised. We have been to the Solis lough Eske in Donegal, The Heritage Golf and Spa in Portarlington, the K Club in Kildare and all were very impressive and we both really enjoyed them. But........ this is the "daddy"... More

Just returned from lough erne after saturday night stay, disappointed with hotel. Waited longer than we expected for our room to be ready, so much so that we never got to use spa or swimming pool, having arranged to have 3 kids minded we were so looking forward to enjoying the facilities. Ate in the grill bar, food very poor... More

This was an excellent experience. The food was excellent, golf great, weather awful but made a great experience by great therapies in the spa. My wife and i got to escape the children for a relaxing weekend break, paid for by my colleagues as a leaving experience and what an experience. The rooms were roomy and the quality great but... Second visit to the resort, felt just as magic as the first! Reception check in was quick and friendly, the staff are very well trained in customer service without being too over the top. The rooms are decorated in traditional classic style with heavy curtains and rich colours, similar to The Drake in Chicago...so the American visitor will love it.... More

I feel I should not complain too much about this hotel as I got a good deal through travelzoo with 2 nights B&B and meal and check in was great, not made to feel as on a special deal. Only brought it on Thursday and booked it for Saturday as a present for my husband's birthday, only lodge rooms left... More

After a minor hiccup our weekend turned out to be quite a treat. Staff very friendly, receptionist Eimear very helpful and welcoming, she is a keeper Lough Erne! The bar staff very efficient and the dining room staff very professional and the food just speaks for itself, it is amazing, beautiful flavour and excellent quality, worth the trip alone. Go... More

I could not fault the Lough Erne - best service I have had in a hotel in a long time - the staff we dealt with mixed professional with a bit of personality. Evening meal in the Catalina was stunning as the sun was setting over the Lough - I thought the standard of food was top class. If you... More

We enjoyed a Spring Retreat, can recommend it. Everyone is friendly, helpful and the Hotel is fantastic. We had a lough view room, spacious, comfortable and luxurious. Gowns and slippers to visit the Infinity pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. Total relaxation. The Restaurant was efficient too, our evening meal was delicious and the Breakfast selection was top class. The... More

Great destination for a get away break, could not fault it, rooms are luxurious, the staff are friendly and helpful, the food is fantastic. Nothing is too much trouble. If you are not a golfer there is always the Thai Spa which is out of this world. Will definitely be back - great to find a well run place. More
