Stayed one night in Aug after completing first stage of Teesdale Way. Emma and Michael were very welcoming and insisted that we made ourselves at home and helped ourselves to all the tea/ coffee we wanted. The couple running this farm are truly wonderful. The rooms are big and the beds really comfortable. The bathroom and shower room are downstairs and there are two loos, but only one washbasin. I advise anyone without a car to book a meal there. The cooking is good, and the pub a fair distance away!

Spent just one night here, the owners are very friendly and family-oriented. They took the time to show us round the animals they had (lambs, chickens, cows, pigs, geese and even peacocks!) both in the evening and in the morning, which the kids loved, it was a real education for them given that they are city dwellers! We stayed here whilst walking the Pennine Way and although it's a little way off the route is well worth it. We were made very welcome-tea and coffee available whenever we wanted and shown to a lovely quiet room. It is a working farm and lambs,calves and chicks were all appearing during our short stay-we could hear the chicks cheeping... More
