James welcomed us warmly in this very cosy B&B. Our room (a twin) was spacious, very clean, extremely well decorated, a very big bathroom. The biggest room we have ever had in a B&B! Lots of space for luggage (which is very important and tends to be forgotten by B&Bs!). Breakfast was delicious, all home-cooked by James who adores cooking... More

James is a delightful host providing little extras such as fluffy white dressing gowns and complimentary sherry. Breakfast was outstanding, our room was beautifully appointed with a large, recently updated, shower room. We found it a quiet location even though our room was at the front of the house. We could not fault it and would definitely stay there again. More

We ended up in Aboyne because we couldn't find accommodation in Aberdeen, and I am so glad we did. Struan Hall is a simply wonderful B&B. It felt more like staying in a comfortable home. The rooms were gorgeous, I loved the furnishings. The attention to detail was spot on! James was a friendly and helpful host who made us... More

Without doubt, this was the best bed and breakfast we stayed in during our twelve day visit to Scotland. The new proprietor, James, welcomed us warmly after our long drive up from Glasgow Airport. Had we wanted to we could have availed ourselves of the complementary sherry in the beautiful drawing room. Delicious, hot breakfasts were served in the well... More

I booked 2 nights for 5 elderly relatives who are well travelled and not always the easiest to please - they were full of praise for the way James looked after them, found the rooms, food etc first class and better than any hotel. They'll be back with their friends!! More

Have had several wonderful stays here over the years. Michael and phyllis have now retired and James Lucas is now running the business. Just like the Inghams he was a supurb host and is continuing to run Struan Hall in the same way. Rooms have been upgraded and are very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent, with fresh local produce and... More

We just returned from a week in Scotland, which included 2 nights at Struan Hall. This B&B is one of the finest I have stayed at. The rooms were extremely comfortable and recently updated. We stayed in the Fraser room and enjoyed the abundance of space as well as the large and comfortable bathroom. Phyllis and Michael offer a variety... More
