The family had a lovely Easter break at Douneside despite record breaking cold weather. Lots of snow around but none on the roads, just fantastic views all around and the perfect excuse to stay in enjoying the wonderful hospitality.

Don't know why we haven't heard of Douneside House until now - but better late than never! If you want to visit Royal Deeside then this is the place to stay. Excellent facilities, great hospitality from Paul and Ginny, superb location, topped off with great food and convivial company made this a weekend to remember. We hardly noticed the poor... More

We stayed at this wonderful hotel for a weekend retreat . From the minute you enter the long driveway you capture the beauty of the surroundings and the stunning gardens that the hotel is set in. The smell of the flowers on entrance to the hotel are incredible. From the beautiful log fire in the bar to the library, the... More

I've just spent a day at Douneside House and am genuinely sorry I couldn't stay longer! What a stunning location and just on our doorstep! Fantastic facilities and the staff simply couldn't be more helpful, yet so un-intrusive you would hardly know they were there.

Just spent the weekend at Douneside House on a retreat weekend, Everything about this location is first class, the house is luxurious yet 'homely' the location and grounds are stunning, and the staff excelled in every aspect. I hope I have the pleasure of staying here again. Well done Douneside House!!

I was a speaker as part of the latest reenergise weekend retreat programme. No wonder Dorothy, the founder of Reenergise, chooses Dounside House as the retreat venue. The House and gardens are big enough to "lose" yourself, but small enough to feel comfy and warm. The conference facitlities are excellent and the audio visual equipment I needed was set up... More

3 days spent on educational course at Douneside - facilities excellent - lovely house/gardens. Food was superb and the staff were nothing short of exceptional. Regular visitor here at least once a year for the last 10 years and always fabulous!

We have just spent a fabulous weekend at Douneside House. The staff and full board catering are as exceptional as ever. My mother, with us for the first time, had the delightful Room 3 with spectacular south, east and west views over the Strath. The frost and snow, blue skies and strong sunshine all added to the experience of a... More

I take every opportunity to come back to this lovely hotel. The staff are friendly and extremely helpful. The grounds are everything you could want from a relaxing break. The real fire in the bar area and a drink with friends is a really nice end to an evening.
