We booked to stay at this hotel for one night since we were going to a local wedding. Never again! Exterior of hotel was dilapidated and in need of attention, interior decor was dated - not even shabby chic, just shabby. Room had peeling wallpaper, only 3 TV channels, no hot water, a variety of non-matching furniture and carpets needed... More

went for a drive through to Aboyne for lunch and ventured into the Huntly Arms Hotel, NEVER AGAIN the lady on the bar did her best, decor dated and not so clean, the food was absolutely disgusting, soup straight from the microwave, bun to go with soup the same, husband took the Steak Pie and he could not eat the... Booked on line, as soon as we got to the front door it was apparent that this was a "sad" hotel. The reception area was very neglected, the dining room had 15 bulbs and 7 shades either broken or missing, The bedroom was clean but ceiling had bubbled wallpaper. The bar was very poor and very untidy with broken seats.... More

Returning to the North East of Scotland after my enforced winter break & needing to be on Deeside for my business on this trip I plumbed for Aboyne which is pretty mush bang in the middle of where I needed to be. Limited with my budget & thinking an Oxford hotels claims on the Google search results as Luxury hotels... More

I stayed there with a coach party in April 2012. We must have had 25 rooms between us so there was a lot of comparing & contrasting going on. Some people were perfectly happy with the room they got. Other people needed things sorted out, problems ranged from no cold water, electics fused, radiator didn`t work, ceiling drip onto the... More

Had a lovely weekend at Huntly Arms (our third time at this hotel). Great room, lovely staff and superb food. Very central for exploring the beautiful countryside and Castles. Will definitely be going back. Thanks to all the staff for their help and friendliness. Barbara and Derrick MacDonald More

Just over in Aboyne for Easter break and had the opportunity to stay at the Huntly Arms Hotel. The hotel has a traditional look but it goes with the character of the place. The staff were great, always ready to help. Keep up the good work. More

Stayed at the hotel for a nearby wedding. We were booked into the Suite which had a lounge area, 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The room size was very good but only 1 of the bedrooms had mirrors/dressing table. The reception staff were very helpful on showing directions to the wedding we were attending. On arrival back to the hotel... More

Stopped over for one night when walking in Deeside. Staff were friendly and very helpful. We made quite a few requests for an overnight stay, but all were met with aplomb. We needed help with things like adjusting the heating and accessing the wi-fi. The manager was a font of information about the hotel's history. Beautiful, recently rennovated, stained glass... More
