We made a trip to Bowness on Windermere and stayed at Stags Head for 2 nights. The room we booked was comfortable enough and the location cannot be any better. The lake is within few minutes walk and there are plenty of restaurants around to choose from. I will recommend this place.

Great location in bowness in Windermere, with a pub below. very friendly and rooms where superb! The breakfast was very good with cereal and the full english on offer! We had the bowness suite which was really nice and modern with a lovely bathroom, modern and a great shower! We look forward to returning to this hotel!

Been here a few times but never had food. This time we tried it and cant complain. Food was plentyful and rather nice. Lacks a little atmosphere but has a real fire which is great on a cold night. Staff are great and helpful. Place is clean and friendly mostly couples that were in but children are welcome.
