On the face of it this hotel is in quite a good location, only a few minutes walk to the Old Village and the owners are friendly enough. However, the property is a bit dated and in need of a refurb. The plumbing in my room in particular needs attention as the it appeared to deposit the bath waste water... More

nice people, but the whole hotel needs refurbishing! cleanleness ok, size of the room ok. furniture from all of the last 6 dekades, free wifi, thats fine. breakfast ok, but not a holiday hotel as such. the hotel looks a bit untidy from the outside, cigarettes in front of the door outside, due to no ashtray, paper and plastik in... where do i start? I specifically asked for a quiet room (by e-mail prior to arrival) as I wanted some P & Q for a couple of days out of London to work on an essay. The room I was given was next to a loud shower unit (?) and was sited over a room that the hotel rented out... More

Friendly owners, however the hotel might have had better times. Things seem to be a bit old. The tablecloth, the wallpapers and the carpets have a touch of the 70ies. If you like vintage More

We booked this hotel through lateroom.com. We planned to combine visiting my sister and new niece with some sightseeing [i am from the island but my partner has not explored much of it]. The hotel was clean and we were made welcome when we arrived. Despite no parking we easily found some. It is in a good location with the... More

You can see the effort that has been put into this hotel as soon as you walk through the door. Friendly and accomodating owners and staff, good quality rooms and an overall feeling of well being. The breakfast was excellent. Location is good, mid way between the station and Old Village. Forget the review from 2008 - give this a... More

We stayed for a 3 night off season short break and enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It is located just off the main road of Shanklin so the beach and town are all within walking distance. With no off street parking this could cause problems in the high season. Clean comfortable rooms meant a good nights sleep which was... More

Just another B&B but no value for money. The rooms were very small and bathrooms particulalry were very tiny. Just imagine wash basin next to your bed. The shower space bloated and when compained there was no quick fix. They said they will look into it but they never did. Best avoided. More

Angela and Wayne were very accomodating and provided delicous breakfasts in the mornings. Our rooms were very clean and the beds comfy. It was great value for money in the winter months. It was about a 10 minute walk to the beach and not far from the bus and train stations. A nice area for a relaxing getaway. More

The overall cleanliness of the room was dreadful, the tea and coffee making facilities were filthy as was the bedding and bathroom. The room was dark and uninviting. We booked a double room to find on arrival that this was two very small single beds pushed together. We felt that the two star rating was inappropriate for this hotel. We... More
