I can honestly say, that I would recommend the Melrose to anyone... families, contractors, or even stag/hen parties. We have stayed here many of times, and are always welcomed with open arms, nice rooms and lovely staff!!! 5 star!!!!

Stayed at the Melrose for a overnight stay the land lady very freindly the room realy clean tea and coffee in the room plus television a really comfortable night stay also located in a very good spot in the town and also not to forget to mention the breakfast really nice, will deffinatley be stoping there again in the future.

Had two weeks here in Whitley bay .The accommodation here has been very comfortable.The rooms are very clean and well stocked with tea and coffee.The landlady was really accommadating in respect to times for breakfast and nothing was to much bother for her to arrange .Lookin forward to returning soon.Summary,great food,great room,great location.Thanks for a great stay.

Stayed here for 3 weeks while working locally.landlady was very pleasant and helpful organising taxis etc,good breakfast every morning :) 2 min walk from the town centre,would defiantly recommend a stay here nice clean fresh rooms even got my laundry done.couldn't ask for anymore can't wait to come back for a weekend with the family.
