The room was modest and tastefully decorated. The building is old, with character & spirit. The owners couldn't have been friendlier & were very welcoming. Overall an enjoyable stay for a good price. Sarah & Matt

Merlin Court is a friendly, fun and welcoming place to stay. the staff (espesh Mike) were so lovely and friendly. the Master Room was a delight to stay in, very spacious, with lovely pictures and beautiful high ceilings. absolutely loved it, and would recommend it to anyone wanting a short break!
Unlike the ungracious & somewhat curmudgeonly reviews of some on this site I enjoyed my brief overnight stay - even Mike's cheerfulness over breakfast! Although the outside of the hotel could use some refurbishments, any worries this may stir will soon be put to bed once you step inside to a warm greeting from your hosts. Never have i met such a friendly pair as greeted me and my family here. The rooms are of an ample size, clean and tidy, with beautifully comfortable...
