After reading reviews about this hotel we were apprehensive about our stay. We were there for a wedding. On arrival we were welcomed by a friendly member of staff who got us checked in swiftly. We entered our room to find it didn't have a sea view, we asked to be moved and we were moved. We moved into suite... More

We stayed in rooms 16 and 18. 16 was shabby, out dated and generally very very poor, you could only get in and out of the bed from one side although it was sold as a double for to two persons! The bathroom was disgraceful, 1950's plastic toilet cistern etc etc very poor, there was only one towel and one... More

We got married here on 29th February, WOW... the staff were friendly, helpful and so accomodating, we needed a few rooms early for people who had travelled, so they could freshen up, every room was ready two hours early, our wedding exeeded our expectations, we had the hog roast absolutely delicious, the staff serving were so lovely, a big massive... Stayed at this hotel and it was filthy from the moment we walked in, the staff was rude and not helpful at all. The room was disgusting, dark and musty. I wouldnt recommend this "hotel" to anyone.

As Manager of this hotel I am proud of the friendly, approachable and helpful manor by which our staff conduct themselves. The hotel is not filthy. Our housekeeping team work to the highest standard every day. I wish there was something specific to our hotel I could reply to and hope this is not a malicious comment. Jennifer Taylor More

Dear Sir, I am very glad to hear we were able to move you from room 18 as it was not to your taste. As you now know each of our rooms are decorated differently. Room 18 is often specifically requested by guests as the room they prefer to stay in. It has a private stair case up to the... More

Have stayed at hotel twice now and have found it be excellent on both visits, suites on the front of the hotel with sea views are lovely, did not use the restaurant, apart from breakfast which was excellent, staff always very helpful.

We were at this hotel for a wedding and thought we would book a suite for a treat. When we arrived the receptionist didn't welcome us she just said just wait until I log this booking onto the computer or I will forget to do it so we waited then her next words were you can't book in until 2.30pm... We booked the Darwin Room for a celebration meal for 30 for our silver wedding. From our first enquiry we were treated to the most friendly and professional service. The restaurant was hired to us for our sole occupancy. A guitarist was provided to entertain our guests and a menu of our choice was put together. The room was set... More

We booked a suite but on our arrival we were told we had been put into a double room. We were allocated Room 12B. Walking up to the room we were met in the corridor by a dreadful stench. It was a smell dirty drains. We had been told by friends that the hotel had had problems the previous week... More
