I stay in the Adlington Cheshire area at least 2 times a week and have a couple of regular hotels I use. This week my usual ones were full, so I found the Hollin Hall via Booking.com, which had availability. It looked nice on the internet and had generally good reviews on Tripadvisor. Unfortunately my stay was a more negative... More

We stayed here for a wedding. The wedding itself was lovely. Everything else was shocking. The staff are rude and completely disinterested in hospitality. The rooms at the back of the hotel in the newer extension are worse than some of the nursing homes I have been in. They resembled a run down sheltered accommodation bock. The rooms are pokey... More

I have reviewed this hotel before and was pleasantly surprised to get a response. My main concerned had been the cleanliness. As with most people who stay away a lot for business you have certain things that 'make or break' a hotel - especially for return visits. The cleanliness has improved a little although on my last stay (last night)... More

My husband and I took my sister and her husband on a kgb deal we bought them for Christmas Sunday 12 May. This is the 2nd time my husband and I have stayed and it was excellent value for money . The bedrooms have been refurbished since our visit and one of our rooms was changed and upgraded when the... More

This is a beautiful looking hotel from the outside, the food is pretty good and some of the deals do offer value for money. But...it's a massive disappointment when you get inside unfortunately. We had stayed once before (18 months ago) and were told they were in the process of refurbishing the rooms so thought that when we came back... More

We purchased the break through KGB which appeared to be good value for breakfast, three course dinner with a bottle of house wine, afternoon tea with sparkling wine two nights stay. But! on arrival there was no room in the top carpark we then entered the lower carpark via a pot holed slopping steep driveway not good for suspension or... More

For the princely sum of £70 each, my boyfriend and I had 2 nights in a really rather stunning part of the world, plus a 3 course dinner (mine was really good, although I think The Other was a bit disappointed with his duck confit), breakfasts both mornings (lots of choice) and even a packed lunch on one of the... Our stay at Hollin Hall lasted a total of 25 minutes. This included booking in at reception, going to our allocated room via a conference room in order to gain access to the lift. This area was cluttered with a large number of full dirty laundry bags. We were helped with our luggage by a very helpful and friendly member... More

We visited Hollin Hall Hotel with friends. We had a Goupon deal which was 2 nights for 2 people, afternoon tea and cava on arrival, 3 course evening meal with a bottle of wine on first night and breakfast on both days. The food was excellent as were the staff. Dining room was nice. The room we stayed in was... More

Booked for two nights on a special deal which was well worth it. Comfortable room. TV remote slightly erratic. Breakfasts very good. Lovely evening sandwich platter served in room. Very charming and efficient young local staff which was a big plus. One major negative - the condition of the driveway down to the lower parking level. Badly in need of... More
