We might be biased, but this is a beautiful location, and stunning home, which welcomes some very weary walkers, would recommend to any fellow Hadrians wall walkers.

Wished we had booked for more than the 2 nights, as the accommodation and owners were just fantastic. Both rooms are well equipped, with a great shower/ wet room in the double. Breakfast kept us going until the evening!

I stayed one night at Abbey Mill - and then hopped over to Lanercost Priory and Hadrian's Wall - and was utterly charmed by both the place and the owners. Abbey Mill is a very unique building with the most unusual windows, the biggest bath I've ever bathed in and internet access to boot! couldn't recommend it more highly.

We have just returned from a short stay at this little gem of a B & B. The accommdation is of a very high standard in this beautifully converted watermill. Our room was spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished and very comfortable. We were made extremely welcome and were offered a lift to a local restaurant where we meeting with other family...
