We stayed here last weekend after a friend's wedding in the area. As we had been told the one night stay would be £169, we expected a large room, bed and bathroom and great views - worthy of the 4* rating. Needless to say we were incredibly disappointed. Fantastic location and beautiful hotel from the outside and ground floor but on reaching the second floor where we stayed, we found it a little tired looking and in need of refurbishment. We stayed in a very small room with again outdated facilities. Bar very expensive and breakfast overpriced though very nice. Very disapointing for what we paid.

The overall experience was that of an average three star hotel, not a four. And seriously, the rooms are quite small so I don't think it would take that much longer to clean a few stains and marks from the seats, table, carpet and bed throw.
