We booked this hotel via Late Rooms in August 2011, for a two night stay in March 2012, as we had tickets for rugby at Twickenham. When we telephoned the hotel, the week before our stay, we received an answering machine message stating that the hotel is closed for refurbishment until August 2012. We had received no notification of this... More

The hotel is within a 15-minute walk of the station, but it would become quite a drag if you had to do it for several days running, unless you're prepared to use taxis. As such, it is convenient for Richmond town but not so good for accessing central London. It is situated on the river, close to the bridge. There... More

Used to live in Richmond and so had never stayed here before. Needed 1 night here and booked via agency but everything in order when I arrived - and although I was travelling alone I got a large room and bathroom (no.2) which although certainly dated wasn't shabby. Old bed was grand and comfortable, room had great river view. Basic... More

Needed one nights stay around Richmond. Very clean, very helpful and a smashing freshly cooked breakfast. Overlooks the River Thames, small balcony in bedroom and dining room. Excellent value for money.

I would recommend this hotel to everyone, which I very rarely do. The staff have been so helpful to us, especially having messed them around with bookings, and they couldn't have been nicer. They are very friendly, the rooms are clean and a good size, breakfast is in the restaurant overlooking the garden and the river. You are a five... More

My brother and I booked the hotel, following a rugby match @ Twickenham (England beat Australia - always a bonus!). The hotel was as described and suited our needs, for the one night we stayed. The staff where receptive to our requests to leave over night bags, rooms where clean, decor a little dated, but, when you merely wanted a... More

Great place to stay when touring UK. The trainstation is within walking distance so you can travel all over. The towns folk are all friendly and welcoming. The hotel is clean and our room had great views over the Thames . Cooked breakfast is included which gives you a great start to the day. The hotel is old English style... More

First of all, this is not a hotel. It's basically a seaside bed and breakfast. It's an old large terraced house that has been divided up into rooms so there is no lift - which is understandable. There is little parking outside for the same reason, this was once a residential area. However the room i had was quite small... More

We checked in here for a 3 night stay at £90 per night and found our tiny room up three steep flights of stairs, we could hardly stand upright in the room, never mind move around, the bathroom one person could squeeze into, but the shower was hardly worth using We asked if there was another room and were told... Stayed for Rugby at Twickenham and has beautiful location overlooking Thames. Richmond great for socialising and shopping. Hotel was fine, had attic room which was a bit small but we only needed somewhere to sleep and shower etc. Bed was clean and comfortable don't expect frills. Owner is a cross between Basil Fawlty and Manuel but we just found him... More
