Great location overlooking the lake in this quiet (at least when we were there) town. The room we had was over two floors and it had a small terrace out front overlooking the lake although the view through the large glass windows was just as good. As the wind picked off the lake up then the idea of a nice... More

What a fabulous place to get away from it all! My partner and I grabbed a great deal for this hotel from GrabOne. We stayed two nights over a weekend, had breakfast both mornings and dinner one night in the hotel's dining room. The food was excellent - my partner had the lamb while I tried the local salmon. After... More

Stayed 2 nights recently. The rooms are great,2 floors, fabulous view.Comfortable beds, you could squeeze 5 adults in.A very nice modern bathroom. As another reviewer mentioned, where are the utensils-no plates, knifes forks? No microwave,so had to trip up to the backpackers to heat food. Its almost as though they want you to only eat at the,AVERAGE, restaurant. The tv was only able to get 1 channel.... More

We are very pleased that you enjoyed your accommodation and the stunning views out over Lake Hawea. We provide all the equipment necessary for tea and coffee making which is what we advertise in our accommodation listings and as you mentioned this is to attract people to eat in the restaurant. But if asked we will of course provide any... More

We stayed the the Lake Hawea Hotel for two nights over the Easter weekend in one of their recently renovated rooms (Room 3). Though it doesnt look it from outside the room is truly a luxury get away, the large open shower, the high thread count sheets and soft, warm duvet, and the veiw....wow what a veiw. You don't have... This was an excellent hotel. We were planning to stay at Lake Wanaka but this looked so nice we stopped here before getting to Wanaka. The hotel has fantastic views, as far as we could see from all the rooms and fantastic views from the dining room too. The hotel rooms were spacious, comfortable and clean and the balcony was... We stayed in the Lodge, which is the backpackers accommodation. It was v cheap and we got what we paid for! The rooms were basic and bunk beds. They were also boiling hot as there was no air con. We had the room next to the kitchen/lounge which meant we were disturbed by the TV noise & chatting most of... More

Thanks for your review regarding our Lodge accommodation. I think you get real value for money in our Lodge - you get a private room, clean linen & a towel, cooking facilities and a clean shower & toilet block with lovely hot showers. There are opening windows in each room. I think in shared accommodation you will always get residue... More
