The whole place looks quite stylish, and our room was very nice, stylish and contemporary with a good big bath and bathroom, but there was a light out in the bathroom. We had booked a room but hadn't been told that as it was a Sunday we couldn't have dinner, only bar snacks, which weren't brilliant and very little choice.... More

Stayed here in January. Fantastic. Reasonable price, good location, excellent food and a lovely roll top Bath. My other half loved it! Easy to get to most of the attractions in Somerset. Excellent local cider too! We will definitely be going back again.

We recently stayed here for our first wedding anniversary having booked through Mr & Mrs Smith. As others have said, it is an inn rather than a hotel so the provisions in the room were fairly basic. We stayed in a 'big room' with a lovely comfy big bed. It was right above the bar so incredibly noisy if you... More

We only dined here, so this is only a review of the restaurant. To start with a good point- this is a nicely done up restaurant with comfortable seating. We went on a Saturday evening as a group of 6 people. Although we had a chance to give our orders swiftly to start with (the restaurant was empty when we... More

Been a number of times to this pub and each time stayed in the same warm comfortable room. The pub has a number of real ales, and excellent coffee. Breakfast is great with as much coffee as I could drink. The only gripe is that the orange juice could be freshly squeezed.

We booked a last-minute Saturday night stay via the Mr and Mrs Smith website. We chose it because we had never really been to Somerset before and wanted a cheap getaway, and this seemed to fit the bill. We got a "Big Room" as this was the only room left, and I would recommend getting this one simply because of... More

Went here for some lunch with friends on a Saturday . Very impressed by decor and menu looked good. Had to wait a good 45 min for food, but it was busy. I ordered pulled pork bap with apple sauce and chips. Pork was cold, bap was so chewy I had to leave it, chips were excellent though. Poor service... More

We arrived late last night 9.50 pm, panicking about missing supper. The staff were expecting us and made it clear there was no panic about missing supper. Lovely food, good beer and wine followed with good service. Our room is lovely too, great linen, excellent decor, good wifi, telly that works! Looking forward to breakfast!

Warm, inviting and decorated for Christmas. Great after a long walk on the Somerset levels. Had Beef Shin and Mash in the bar - delicious. Nice to be able to order a "smaller" portion - great value at £7. Ate here many times during the year. Always good. Will return.
