We were coming in late from a long day of driving and thought that we would stop for a relaxing treat at the Michelin (!!!) starred restaurant and possibly stay overnight. When we got there it felt almost abandoned. The rates were far lower than listed in the book, so we were excited, but the room was dull and average.... More

In a country where coffee is considered a culture to be served nescafe instant in the morning was quite a shock. Having driven most of the way around the island with oranges being practically thrown at us, to be offered orange juice concentrate at breakfast was not what we had expected from a "4-star" hotel. As for the room, if... More

We travelled to Sicily to see the ancient sites and were particularly mesmerized following a visit to Selinunte - Agrigento is an interesting archaeological site, good hotels, however, are few and far between - Baglio della Luna is very convenient the view of the temples from the breakfast room of the hotel was lovely. Our room, however, was tiny, the... More

We ate in the restaurant whilst staying nearby. Delightful, almost magical restaurant, fantastic food – at a price, on a hill overlooking the valley of the temples. Struggled finding non-fishy starters, and childrens drinks that were not Coke. Excellent mains and slick service. Staff not used to non-guests eating in the restaurant.. More

We obviously went to Agrigento to see the Valley de Templi and stayed here on the recommendation of a common guide book. To sum it up, I would only go back here for the restaurant which was one of the best that I went to in Sicily. The food was simply outstanding and the wine selection is very good. The... More

Agrigento is rightly on top of every Sicilian itinerary, due to the amazing Greek temples. This is a country hotel a couple of kilometres from the site. This makes it a preferable spot to spend a night of two, although the room was a bit cold in the evenings, and as in other Sicilian hotels, there was an irritating buzz... More

We booked an on-line prepaid reservation at this hotel and received a confirmation email of our booking and a welcome greeting email from the hotel. When we arrived at 6:15 PM the front desk manager told us that; a) there was a problem w/ our reservation, our room was already occupied, and b) that the hotel was not even aware... More

A beautiful location close to the Valley of the Temples, this friendly hotel provided a good spot to explore both the Valley and surrounding coastline from. The room may be small, but adequate and the clean bathroom and pretty decorations made up for it. The beautiful garden and jacuzzi is a peaceful place to hang out in with a lovely... More

Friendly (English speaking) staff and a superb restaurant. Our room was pleasant if small (but we had the cheapest kind), I don't recall there being any a/c but then I hate a/c so I may be in a minority on that. Bathroom was small but functional (shower only, no bath). Our room was upstairs and there was no lift, although... More

We were touring around the temples at Agrigento and it got too late to arrive at our next destination on the west coast of Sicily, so we pulled out the travel books and decided to stay at the Baglio Della Luna. It was rated five stars in the guidebooks so we thought we were in for a real treat. However,... More
