We are returning visitors to Lake Garda but this was our first (and last) stay at the Gritti. The hotel is large and is in a fabulous location near the lake...just the right distance to walk home with an ice cream after an evening out!!! Unfortunately, we thought the public areas and rooms seemed very run down, the food was... More

I booked my reservation online, directly through hotel website. We booked 2 rooms (2 adults in one room and 3 teenagers/children in the adjoining room) with “Half Board” (dinner). I received my booking confirmation via email, indicating the # of guests in each room, ages of the teenagers/children, Half Board add-on, and total cost. When we arrived at our hotel... More

Weare returning again in June this year. This is a restful hotel with friendly helpful staff. Great buffet breakfast. We do bed an breakfast because the position of the hotel makes the walk in to the village for dinner our most favourite part of the day with loads of good restaurants and not expensive. Good local wine too. Hotel is... More

I stayed here with colleagues for three nights earlier this week, and whilst the daily commute into Verona (40 minutes with no traffic, well over 90 minutes with!) was not much fun, it was great to come back each evening to this peaceful hotel, which is literally across the road from Lake Garda - and just 5-10 minutes on foot... Front desk staff useless! Hotel is quite large, but no maps of room locations! Even the staff is not sure of the room locations! The garage Parking SUCKS!! If you don`t get one of the 8-10 spots on in #P1, or #P3, your stuck below the basement, with a terrible UP-HILL Walk! If Handicapped, forget about basement parking. Climbing Mt.... More

We travelled as a group of 7 from age ranges from 7 to 70. We all found this a very plesant hotel with a good selection of activities to please everyone. The food was great at night with plenty of selection. Lunch did not offer so much choice but what it did offer was cooked well and delicious. We had... More

Spacious and attractive grounds. Lovely rooms, friendly staff and great location. Right on the lake and very close to shops and restaurants. Only drawback was that we were the only British tourists staying at the hotel and so couldn't chat to other guests. More

I went to the Gritti for a weekend and had a good rate all included. I had a double room with single use, a nice room similar to many others but it did have a kettle and tea/coffee etc. which is unusual in Italy. The dressing table top was very cracked which did not look very nice, however they were at...
