This was an "interesting" experience. This is supposedly a 4* hotel but our room was small, the dining room was ornate but also overrated and worst......the morning manager didn't have the sense to berate one of the maids away from the front desk and customers (us!) sitting there. The community is fascinating. We would go back but we definitely would... More

This family run hotel started life many years ago as a truck stop. The patron was a truck driver and his wife worried constantly that he was not getting proper food when he was away from home, along with all the other poor truckers. This was truly an awful hotel and we were led astray by hotels.com which gave it 4 stars and even the red Michelin guide which was complimentary. Don't be tempted by the super low rates US $114 or less- we were literally the only guests in the entire hotel- the only ones stupid enough to stay there. Location: in Cassola... More
