Ferrara is such an amazing little town... It´s magic when we walk on the Piazza, in the middle of so many people in their "bici".... doesn´t matter the age, they all ride bikes! It´s beautiful to see!!! And, this Hotel is so conveniente because it´s right by the Piazza! And, it´s beautiful, and so cozy!!! You feel you are staying... More

While potentially attractive in warm weather, I recommend that anyone planning to stay in this hotel during the cold season pack heavy wool socks and a flashlight. A fur coat and hat for the breakfast room might also come in handy, although if you prefer hot to cold coffee, you might simply head for a nearby cafe. The heating is... More

Ferrara was our first stop this trip and we had fun using our limited Italian in this city where few speak English. We remembered our lessons right away! The Hotel Ripagrande provided us with a beautiful 3 level room and a glamorous bath with tiles by Valentino. Staff were all very helpful and friendly and the building itself was elegant... More

I have been living in Italy for a few months and have traveled in many cities. Ferrara is a city that most people don't usually visit or stay over. I thought it was lovely although our experience at the Ripagrande wasn't. (It was not grande in any way compared to most of the other hotels weve found here). Upon checking... More

Our stay at the Ripagrande was a nice one, though not luxurious; it's centrally located (well, Ferrara is a small city, so almost everything is centrally located), the staff was pleasant and helpful, and the room was clean. The layout of our standard room was a bit unusual - three levels, including an entryway with wardrobe (this is the level... More

We thought this a delightful hotel. The rooms were large and well appointed, the service excellent. We had only one dinner there, but it was very good and priced very reasonably. There is also a first class restaurant across the street, for variety, and others within walking distance. More
