Stayed here a few weeks ago...and was not very impressed. We hadn't booked a room but as was off season and just driving around the coast, decided to stop for the night in Lerici. The receptionist was very friendly and we were able to negotiate a cheaper rate (I think we were the only people staying in the hotel!). Highlights:... More

Easy parking opposite or in the public carpark down the road. Great location and really good family beach with good swimming. Good restaurants down the road, actually both ways. Good spot to catch the boat to Porto Venere etc. Use this place as a base to walk the villages and go by boat. Also a lovely town to walk about... More

Spent 2 nights. Although bathroom had a daylight window, it was terrible: Shower is much too small (and I am very slim), has no drain and a really terrible curtain. Set the whole floor under water in seconds. The water flush in the toilet was out of order and not repaired! Staff was always bugged and rude and makes loud... More

Stayed here in July 2008 for 4 nights. A/C was broken and they did not believe us until others complained. We had some discount because of it but it did not help us sleep at night... The room was simple and small but the balcony was as big as the room and had a fab view. We loved the sound... More

The location is good, not in the middle of town but ten minutes pleasant walk along the sea, but in better weather would have been perfect for the little sandy cove directly in front of of the hotel. It was fun watching the surfers, several of whom seemed to be staying here and sitting on the internet! The staff were... More

A rotten tiny bathroom with a 2x2' non-draining shower with disgusting curtain. Rave/techno disco until 2am on the beach on weekends - sleep deprivation guaranteed. No car parking, boring, simple breakfast, tiny room. All that for Eur 150/night. Positives: proximity to (small) beach, nice staff, good coffee, nice balcony. More

"The hotel picture on their website does not do this place justice. It is a well-kept beautiful little hotel right on the beach. Only the road separates you from the lovely beach. Great fun location. This is the starting point if you decide to see the Cinque Terra by boat. The best way to see it. Lerici was a real... More

I walked up to the hotel without a reservation and was given a tour of the room before I agreed to take it. The hotel is old and the rooms could stand some improvements. Nevertheless, the price was good, 95 euro per night which included the ok breakfast. We stayed here for two nights at the end of October. The... More

I am amazed by what people expect for 110 euros a night. This hotel has the best position of any in Lerici. It has the beach 15 yards away and a gentle flat 10 minute stroll into the town. The view from the rooms is the best I have ever seen in that you look out over the town and... More

We arrived at the Hotel Venere Azzurra the day before the World Cup. The room was not as large as depicted in the photographs, however the balcony was wonderful although not private. It overlooked the Bay of Poets and a great beach. Our room had air conditioning which was adequate, in fact too cold at times so I can't understand... More
