The local area around the Tritone is nothing to get all excited about. Very commercial/industrial. However, for value, friendliness, cleanliness and accesibility to transportation elsewhere, I would book there again. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Beds firm. Very good location, just cross the street of the train station and only 10 min away from the Venice - Piazzale Roma - the place you can start your visiting tour with vaporetto or by foot!
