Hotel Astoria is a lovely hotel with great service, a wonderful cuisine and a fantastic traditional flair. The rooms have been renovated lately and offer a fantastic comfort. The receptionist Signore Arturo is always very helpful and friendly. The owners Mr. and Mrs. Taddei are very friendly and always at your disposal. But the best Hotel Astoria has to offer... More

We found this hotel to be delightful and very convenient for our stay in Montecatini. It is close to the funicular that goes to Montecatini Alto yet close to the many spas and within easy walking distance to the main town and railway station. We were greeted by Arturo, a kindly gentleman who escorted us to our room. This was... More

What I took to be the family that owns and runs the hotel, appears to be too old and lacks the necessary vitality to give the place the required vibrancy and atmosphere. They display no energy and this reflects in the way many, not all, of the employees go about their work. To give you a few examples – the... More

What a gem of an hotel this is. Located in its own grounds in a park. Family run, the staff were very friendly and helpful, which made a most relaxing holiday, nothing was too much trouble. The hotel has bags of charm, and could easily be in a time warp from the past when life was much less hectic. Our... More

In a quiet street, next to all kind of beautifull spa palaces and a big park, lies hotel Astoria. The style is old fashioned Italian. Actually really charming. The service is extremely good: most people speek English and everyone is very friendly. The food is delicious and very healthy. The only problem is that the staff give you too much! More

This lovely family operated /owned hotel has been my pick in Italy for over the past 10 years. The charming hotel located below Montecatini Alto has been my personal retreat and get away. I always receive such great service and especially from Arturo, who's friendly face and professional manners have always greeted me at the front door. The location is... More

We originally picked this out as a place to stay to visit Florence and Pisa, but found as many interesting and beautiful places much nearer at hand. The hotel, perhaps like a number of other italian hotels, is not new but is clearly smartened up/refurbished on a regular basis - it would look more 'at home' in Eastbourne than on... More

The Astoria hotel is like stepping back in time but in a charming and quirky way. You could imagine that it was pretty much the same as it is now at the turn of the previous century - filled with tourists 'taking the waters'. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and each seemed to take several roles at all... More

This is a very nice hotel in a beautifull building with nice decor in restaurant and sitting room. We found the staff very friendly and serviceminded. The buffet breakfast was good and you can sit outdoors. The pool was clean and there was a lifeguard. The pool area has a nice little cafe where you can get pasta and salads... More
