We loved L'Olmo. It was quiet, subdued and charming. The scenery was spectacular. In the early morning we would get up and walk the quiet road in front, just taking it all in - then relax with a coffee, etc. and watch the day begin to unfold. The rooms were well kept up and the service was very, very good.

L'Olmo is an original inn on a pilgrims trail now converted to offer understated but luxurious accomodation under the auspices of Signora Lindo and her team of two.Lovely large pool, excellent breakfast and views all around of what many people would consider the ultimate Tuscan scenery including the town of Pienza on top of a neighbouring hill. The nearest village... More

L'Olmo is a serene country inn located in the peaceful countryside near the charming medieval village of Monticchiello. Rooms are comfortable and clean, and a delicious breakfast is served. The owners are wonderful. Ideally situated to explore the nearby towns of Montepulciano and Pienza, as well as Monticchiello. This is my favorite part of Italy, the Val d'Orcia. The whole... More

La bandita was completely full and we couldn't extend our stay so we moved here for 1 night before heading back to Rome. I'm sure l'olmo is perfectly beautiful and relaxing to many people but I found it somewhat stressful and uncomfortable. Our room was on the ground floor and didn't get much of a breeze. There was no air-conditioning... More

This is my husband and my second stay at L'Olmo. We stayed at L'Olmo about five years ago and I actually loved it more this time, which I really did not think was possible. It is absolutely serene, romantic, and elegant. The location is perfect - between Montalcino and Montepulciano (2 excellent wine towns). When my luggage went missing for... More

it's been our second stay at l'olmo. one of my professors at insead said years ago "100% satisfaction you can only achieve through surprise". voila : l'olmo. perfectly calm, great staff, great environment, one sunbed per person (never more than 50% occupied), views to dream, and friendly, helpful hosts. 6 years ago they surprised us with taking over the bill... L'Olmo is the best example of an elegant Tuscan inn around. Only 7 rooms, all tastefully appointed and meticulously maintained. Gorgeous views from every angle of what you picture as the typical Tuscan landscape. We used this location in SW Tuscany to explore many walled hill towns such as Montichiello, Pienza, Montepulciano, Montalcino (make sure to visit Fattoria dei Barbi... More

My husband and I have stayed at the l'Olmo about eight times over the last 10 years or so and is our all time favorite Italian Hotel. The owners are charming, friendly and welcoming, the rooms are all immaculately presented with a touch of luxury. The views are spectacular and the location could not be improved, with Pienza, Montelpuciano, Bagno... More

After staying here on 3 different occasions, I can say that it doesn't get any better. L'Olmo is as perfect a Tuscan inn as can be found and the experience is as close as a visitor can come to living in Tuscany. Set amid flowers in the fields and rolling hills of southern Tuscany you can visit the most authentic... More

We spent 5 days at this wonderful place last spring and we are returning for a week in September. We have been to Italy 6 times in the last 10 years and L'Olmo stands out as our favorite place for all of the 200 plus nights we have been in Italy. The rural setting amid the fields of grain with...
