A lovely hotel, full of character and only a few yards from the Duomo. Super location. Has spacious and well furnished berooms, and a super lounge. This is a family managed hotel with a very friendly atmosphere. I can recommend it. More

Yes it an old hotel but utterly charming. We seemed to be the only ones staying the night we were there. It's like walking into a place from old times. But having said that it was lovely. I thought the staff so sweet. The location is a gem. Would recommend. More

Located near the central square and Duomo, it is stylish, quiet hotel. The staff were carefully, they took care of the luggage, car and us! We spent one night there, being satisfied with rich breakfast, peaceful, nice room and very comfortable bed. More

Very helpful to a family of Americans with very little english. Hotel is a few feet from the square with the church. Breakfast was a massive spread featuring pastry, salami, amazing coffee, and amazing service. It appeared to be run by an amazing family who were very kind to us and our three year old boy. check out our travel... More

This is a typical 'european' style hotel, nothing fancy, but better than average cleanliness and staff. The staff were very nice and attentive. The hotel is dated, but extremely clean. They take very good care of everything in this hotel. The location is excellent -- very central, but a block off the main drag so it is quiet. On the... More

We both agreed that this was the best hotel we stayed in this trip, because it was located right in the center of town, easily accessible from the train station (via the funicular and local bus), but mostly because there were TWO COMFORTABLE SITTING CHAIRS in the room. Especially after spending all day exploring the town, having the ability to... More

A classy hotel with so much charm! The room was small, but clean and basic. The bed was comfortable, the location quiet. We had the room with the cathedral view - awesome! The breakfast was very adequate and good. Many nice restaurants in the area for dinner. More

We came into town a day early and could not get into the Hotel Duomo for that first day, so we had to sacramble for accomodations. This is what we came up with, and it left us wishing we'd waited until our Hotel Duomo reservation was ready before we came to Orvieto. Our room was an over-priced, unfortunate combination of dark... We spent 3 nights in the Maitani with 2 other couples and were very impressed with the staff. They went out of their way to help us make arrangements, restaurant recommendations, etc. We had suites with 2 bathrooms, small sitting rooms and very comfortable beds.. The hotel had an old world feel with spacious lobby areas and beautiful antique furniture.... More

We had stayed in Rome in a 2 star hotel and thought there would be a reasonable jump to the "four star status" of this place. While the staff were polite and the hotel was spacious it was a far cry from the comfort and service we had gotten from a far less pretentious and cheap veneered property. Our major... More
