Well sited for visiting the glorious Baroque towns in this area - and for fans of Montalbano. The staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly and very happy to give advice about the area. Breakfasts were lovely with lots of fruit, home made rolls as well as cheese cold meats etc. fantastic sanguinella made from the local oranges ( we were... More

the Eremo is full of charme. Great historic place at the centre of an area of wonderful cities and beautiful countryside. Staff smiling and vey helpful. Very very clean. But.... Pretentious restaurant with outrageously expensive prices for Sicily and quality so and so. Pool with more algae than water. No massages despite advertising. Bathroom excellent 20 years ago, in need... More

This is a very special hotel. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and the atmosphere and surrounding scenery are spectacular. Sitting in the courtyard sipping prosecco at sunset is truly a wonderful experience. The rooms were elegant and the food absolutely delicious.

We recently returned from a two week stay at the Eremo. It was a truly memorable holiday: the hotel surpassed our very high expectations in all respects. The style and elegance of the place was equally matched by the kindness and attentiveness of the staff for whom nothing was too much trouble. We ate in the restaurant several times and... More

Quite honestly, the second we walked in the front door, I knew this was my kind of place. It's almost like walking into a cozy castle. The service from the front desk to the bellboy was always gracious and friendly. Our room was spacious and full of character. The antique furniture, woven rugs, and dark-beamed ceiling all added so much... More

We chose this place for a last week away before our first baby arrived and were delighted with it. It's beautifully converted, the pool and garden area were lovely, the service was consistently excellent all week, and the rooms (we had booked one if the cottages but a monster thunderstorm had knocked out the electricity) were spotless, although the one... In mid-September my wife and I spent four nights at Eremo della Giubiliana, a small luxury hotel just outside of Ragusa. The property is a beautifully restored 12th – 16th century Convent/fortified rural home. Its location, about 15 minutes from Ragusa, 30 minutes from Modica and 30 minutes from Scicli, makes it a perfect spot for exploring these fascinating Sicilian... More

My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights as part of a longer stay in Sicily in May 2011. We loved this South Eastern corner of Sicily with the historic towns, beautiful churches and dramatic landscapes. The hotel was very well located to visit all the sights including as far away as Syracusa on the East coast. The hotel... More

We stayed in one of Eremo's converted shepherds' cottages which are right next to a private runway (although much to our disappointment we didn't witness a Cessna landing!). Very well designed studio apartment with lovely BBQ area, small kitchen area & separate bathroom, along with two sun beds in the small garden. The cottages are a 5 minute walk (or... More

After a late arrival we were welcomed warmly at the hotel. The staff even kept the kitchen open so we could have room service. The hotel is situated 'off the beaten track', which adds to its charm. Eating breakfast outside in the sun is wonderful, although we did have to take the table settings outside ourselves. Not sure why they... More
