Stayed 4nights in April, asked for a "high floor with a nice view" and got one; only some rooms face the beautiful Tuscan vale. Walk/climb to the town is steep but short and well worth it. The hotel will provide a minibus shuttle if you ask apparently. Rooms are clean and spacious.

Nice room, if a bit bare. No bath, just a shower. Comfortable bed. but the food in the restaurant wasnt very nice, I couldnt believe my risotto - I thought Italian food was gorgeous, but this tasted like it was out of a pack, microwaved.....maybe its just me.
