I was warned on here that the rooms are small - er wrong , they are tiny - imagine a cabin on a ferry boat & you get the idea. As usual conference customers take preference - hence blokes banging doors at 7 in the morning The breakfast room is in a half basement with no views of the so... More

The hotel is a long walk from the centre of the town and although adequate and reasonably comfortable, the room we had was small and not worth the money we paid. The air conditioning did not work so we had to leave the window open which meant being woken up by the rubbish collection just as we had got off... More

Stayed at Le Dauphin for 2 nights during a 3 week trip of SW France. We ended up here by default when our chosen hotel had problems with our electronic reservation and rebooked us here. Nonetheless, we liked the hotel reasonably well and were OK with the switch. Just a short walk from the beach and casino, the hotel is... More

Located in a traditional Arcachon townhouse, le Dauphin has good if somewhat imporsonal service, decent standard rooms and a heated backyard pool. Rooms are small and there is no restaurant or bar. Good for families with older children. We paid 240 euros for two rooms, which was too much considering drawbacks such as small rooms, uncentral location and lack of... More

unfortunately, everything was all right for 3 days later we were robbed in hotel during brakfast (it last about 15 min), nobody even wanted to talk with the cleaning staff and call the police. I blame holtel on this, beacse they are responisble for visitors safety. Take all precious things with you. More

After a very disappointing stay at this hotel, BEWARE..... there are very serious security issues at this hotel. Make sure you take your valuables with you, keys fit multiple doors and other security matters are very questionable. Rooms and bathrooms are very small and the staff albeit come across as being efficient are not! We would not return! More

Despite the lukewarm reviews on this site we came on the recommendation of a couple of Americans we met in St Jean de Luz the previous evening. I regret to say that I should have put my trust, as usual, in Trip Advisor’s reviewers. This is not a bad hotel and, in many respects, it is very good. The 2... More

Great building, typical of the neighborhood; room small but adequate, not as cramped as some of the 7 places we stayed in our trip along the coast. Doors opening onto tiny faux veranda help open the room. Two young ladies staffing the desk during the day and escpecially evening shift were very friendly, enthusiastic, spoke good english willingly, provided good... More

The building is charming and beautiful - the downside is having to lug heavy luggage up and down stairs to get to the room (elevator stops between floors as well). Fine value. Superb location rather near the beach, the downtown, and walks through the charming houses and mansions of Arcachon. It's worth the lug! tip: the seafood restaurant Yvette's is... More

The hotel is located in an absolutely wonderful building. The lobby area is quite nice, there are magazines and newspapers to read and a computer that you can use. The rooms are simple, but clean. The location is not a prime location, it's about 10 minute walk from the beach, but it is very quite at night. The parking at... More
