Despite an initial preference for staying in the centre of Bordeaux, we chose La Reserve for security/cost of parking, as our car was full of valuables - (one of us returning from a six-month stay in Italy and therefore not just holiday stuff) - and because much of central Bordeaux is pedestrianised, city-centre hotels do not have parking facilities, nor... Very nice stay. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Good sized room with balcony and large bathroom. Dogs are welcome both in the rooms and the restaurant which is always a plus for us. Grounds are attractive (with pool and a big pond with swans) although a little unkempt. Food in restaurant good. The hotel is in a very quiet area... More

I great find, set in a park with a small lake this hotel has charm, too say the least. It is like being in an old french film minus the dust.
