Biking along the Scheldt and Scarpe rivers this proved the ideal stop nicely placed in the center of Valanciennes. It scores well on the main criteria: good beds, clean, quiet, good breakfast, well located and very friendely staff. Especially the family room and the inner garden were nice. Value for money.

We went to the very busy braderie in Lille, the city was crowded. It was very nice to sleep in a nice, calm and comfortable quite place as this!

A small hotel ideally place to explore this part of France. Friendly and welcoming, staff who speak good English, clean comfortable rooms. An adequate Continental breakfast. Will stay at this hotel again when visiting Valenciennes.

This is a slightly quirky hotel, but in no bad sense. It's well-situated (most others being out of town) and friendly, with nice (if dated) rooms. If you want to stay in Valenciennes to be in the town, stay here!
