Friendly staff, clean room. Good shower. Down side, walls are very thin, no soundproofing. Did not like adjoining door although obviously locked. great location for ferry. Would definitely stay again.

As always the Hotel de la Plage (formally the Kyriad), Calais, was warm, comfortable and welcoming. The food and service was excellent. Ludovic and Salvin looked after us very well. Always try to stay here when getting the wine in Calais! Rooms comfortable and clean,restaurant very good with friendly and attentive staff. A good bet whatever your budget .As is said ,why pay more?I have reviewed this hotel before, but there really is ,(as we tried recently) anywhere else that comes close.

I elected to stay some distance away from Rue Royale/Place d'Armes because of the (seemingly interminable) construction in that area. A bad decision.
