We discovered Chapelwick thanks to a Grab one offer. The location was idyllic. Beautiful countryside and very peaceful. We had the master suite which was superb and absolutely huge. We loved the cosy lounge and welcomed the roaring open fire. The hostess was excellent. Her food was fabulous and the hospitality perfect. Thanks. Chris and Gail More

After a longer than planned road trip we chanced upon Chapelwick around dusk and asked if they could take us in. A really lucky chance as we had a wonderful evening with excellent food and the company of hosts, Rod & Raewyn, plus a few locals. A lovely house , beautifully kept grounds and very friendly hosts. Would be perfect... More

Our recent two night stay at Chapelwick with friends was an excellent choice in terms of a relaxing rural setting, close proximity to porangahau beach, great rooms, delicious breakfasts and evening meal. We enjoyed exploring the area but also wandering around their lovely property, sitting in the lounge of an evening in front of the fire and reading the paper... More

Husband and I had 2 nights here after a hectic few months. The place is so quiet, and beach walks were so good, as had the beach to ourselves most days. The hosts were super friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The optional dinner was superb, and the breakfast included freshly made scones. Rooms were spacious and the bed... More

In addition it's a beautiful silent place, unique and away from all the noise and hectic's of a citiy. Highly recommended to everybody for all kinds off occasions (romantic get away, family reunion,... More

My husband and I finally got to have our weekend away after having to cancel our first booking date. I was expecting to have to say goodbye to our break but Raewyn was so kind and accommodating that she was able to select another time for us that fit our schedule. It was very much appreciated and well worth waiting... More

If you fancy a retreat from the rushing world of the city you can go no better than Chapelwick B and B in central Hawkes Bay. Yes its out of the way, yes you probably should pack your own wee treats if you are an impulsive buyer of nibbles, and yes theres really no night life to speak of. But... More

Excellent hosts. Sumptuous accommodation in the Hunter suite. Lovely grounds to walk around in - fruit for the picking, sheep, pigs, hens. We were after a quiet relaxing time and we got that. Lots of reading, walking on Porangahau Beach and total relaxation. More

We were given 2 nights stay at Chapelwick for our Christmas present from our staff 2011. They booked uit for 2/3 Feb (just after our daughters wedding (28/1). Was just the right time for us to have a very relaxing few days away from the phone and computers and the office. Loved the house and the owners and the fact... More
