Sometimes you stay in a place that's so great, that you want to keep it a secret. You want to make sure that noone else finds it, spreads the word and makes it a pain in the @ss for you to book your next stay. Of course - this is just a fantasy, cause any place that's that great attracts... More

If you realy want to unwind Jagdhof Glasshutte is the perfect hideaway. The staff makes you feel at home upon arrival. The care and all the small gifts and personal attentions are down with so much tender love and care. We were upgraded to a luxury suite with a beautiful bathroom. Dining outside on the terrace was very relaxing. The... More

Spent a family weekend - peace and quiet in the middle of the countryside. Beautiful hotel especially when lit up at night. Easy hill walks on the doorstep. Room, a duplex, was very comfortable and homely. Feels like a large country house e.g turret with window seat and chess board set up, bowls of walnuts to tuck into, stuffed fox... More

The Jagdhof does not cater primarily to small groups or individuals who want to finish some creative work, an article say, a short story or a project, but it is the perfect place for it. Internet is free but slow, there is no mobile phone coverage, it's in the middle of nowhere, and so there is no bother, no noise.... More

Fantastic hotel situated in a fantastically quiet place close to a forest. The rooms are fine even if the bathroom needed some "update". After a glass Sekt at the reception, a basket of fruits/biscuits awaits in the room. Hotel has all amenities one could wish for : pool, sauna, garden...The gastronomic restaurant Ars Vivendi was a highlight of the stay.... More

I stayed there for a week on a recent business trip to Siegen. I must say the stay was one of the most memorable trips I've ever taken. Although the location of the hotel (for daily business in Siegen) is a little bit of a drive, it was delightful to be able to get-away from the hustle and bustle of... More

I do not have enough words to discribe this place-just perfect. Lovely touch upon arrivval witha glass of bubbly by the fireplace and an afternoon gourmet buffet. Countrystyle room-very cozy, lovely dinner with live music,2 bottles of complimentary wine with turn-down service ,rose petals on the floor.................... Breakfast-unbelivable. We will def. return one day More

I stayed here in May, for two nights. This is the second 2 night stop I've had here, both on business. It really is an unusual place. So quirky, so friendly. I've not used the spa facilities, but they look superb. Food is stunning... and I've no idea how they put on such a breakfast spread, for the money! The... More

If you need a lovely get-away in central Germany go to this top 5 star hotel. Our family spent a long weekend in June 2006 for my parents 40th wedding anniversary and we loved every minute. The hotel furnishings are superb. Their breakfast: almost like non other I have ever seen. The range is so large and enormous, you can... More

I have stayed at many 5-star-hotels in the world, but the Jagdhof, which belongs to the prestigious Relais&Chateaux reservation chain, surpasses everything. Location, ambiance, food, service, staff - staying here is like being in heaven. The Jagdhof ("hunting inn") is a half-timbered structure, opulently decorated with hunting trophys. Although this is a 5-star-luxury place, the atmosphere is warm, cozy and... More
