We stayed there during the Christmas Market. Hotel was right in the centre of the town. Very traditional which was what we wanted. Rooms were decorated in a basic traditional way definitely not modern. Very clean and beds were comfy. Shower was excellent though decor was not to our taste. Breakfast very plentiful with lots of choice. We ate in... More

First the good points: a lovely old building and an excellent breakfast buffet. However, we were disappointed with the rooms and the attitudes of some of the staff. We had two rooms. Our friend's room, no. 41 (booked for single occupancy) had 3 single beds arranged around the walls giving a very overcrowded impression. Our room (42) was a standard... More

Very nice hotel situated into a building of 1600, in the very center of Bernkastel. The room was clean and quite big, maybe it would have required some renovation but it was nice enough. Breakfast is very rich and offers a lot of choices. Don't miss the restaurant and the tasteful Doctor Wein. Moreover the staff is kind and helpful... More

We loved it--delicious breakfast and a wonderful dinner in the restaurant. If you're there in the fall, try the Zwiebelkuchen and Federwasser. The room was average but very clean and comfortable. The location is perfect and the staff was friendly and helpful. More

I'd recommend this hotel. Very central charming vine covered courtyard beer garden. Good value for money. Rooms a little dated in style but spotless and recently painted decorated. Great touring hotel. Breakfast brought hot scrambled egg and bacon plus variety of cereals, meats and pastries. Yum Yum. Very old world full of character. More

Stood there one night traveling through in the low season. Rooms are very clean and seemed to have a good quality noise isolation. The water in the shower had the best pressure I have seen in my entire life. Staff is welcoming and relaxed. Breakfast was excelent, with several types of bread, natural juices, smoked salmon, cheese and so forth.... More

Will first mention their shuttle service to/from Hahn airport. 10 euro pro person seems to be a very good deal, especially as a single traveller.. According to the tourist information office a taxi is 40-45 euro. The location could not be any better - right in the heart of the Old Town. The old buildinh with the reception and restaurant... My family ( husband and 7 yo) stayed here after arriving from Australia on the 23 hr flight. We stayed 1 night but wish we had stayed longer. The hotel is in a great location - right in the pedestrianised center and they also have nearby locked parking if you let them know you have a car in advance. The... More
