Gruyeres is a very pretty town and is definitely worth a visit, the hotel was in a great location right in the middle of the pedestrian main street, our room looked out over the town square. The room was clean and comfortable, decoration is slightly outdated but this is the norm for the area really. The location is only five... More

We absolutely loved Gruyeres and we loved Hostellerie Saint-Georges so much that we tried to book a second night but sadly they were booked full. Our room was very nice with soft beds. The bathroom was big, clean, and had very hot water. Our windows opened up over the town square and it was quite charming. The staff was super... More

I've had the pleasure to spend a night in this amazing hotel in the centre of Gruyeres. I had booked the junior suite, which would easy be big enough for a small family, so enjoyed the space a lot. The hotel is very conveniently based, only some 500 meters away from the amazing Giger Museum and other attractions like the... More

A good, solid place to stay in the heart of Gruyeres. While the rooms are small, they are comfortable and well-appointed. And while one might be concerned that the hostellerie's proximity to the pedestrian area equates to excess noise, remember, this is Switzerland. Things in Gruyeres get quiet by 10pm. Best part about this destination is its central location ---... More

What a great location! We did not pay up for a view, but enjoyed the view of the town from our window. The room was a bit small but very cosy and well-priced. The staff is quite friendly. The best part is the breakfast. They use many of Gruyere's local products, so the butter, yogurt, and cheese were fantastic. There... More

We stayed one night (Thursday night) during a recent Swiss trip and we had a wonderful experience at that hotel. We booked a family room (3 beds) which was on the top floor, village side of the hotel. The room was spacious and the beds were extremely comfortable. Both the room and the bathroom were immaculate with all the little... More

From the receptionist, Stephanie, to the Breakfast n the morning..It was fantastic! Our room was on the 3rd floor looking out into the car-less cobblestone street. We had a great dinner across the street. (forgot the name of the restaurant) We are back-packers visiting from the USA so we took the train. If you are walking we suggest taking the... More

My husband and I enjoyed our stay here very much. Just a short walk got us to a wonderful restaurant where we tried raclette for the very first time. A little farther and we visited the interesting castle at the top of the hill. The breakfast spread the next morning was extensive and very good.

Upon arriving we were told that we would need to wait about 15 minutes since the restaurant was extremely busy. In fairness it was full at the time. We sat down and had to wait around 20 minutes to place our order. The drinks did not arrive for another twenty minutes (based on this fact alone you can infer how... More

I would not recommend this hotel, or its restaurant. We stayed there for 1 night, it was way too expensive for what it was. Room was at the town side on the upper floor and although it was not high season anymore Gruyères was still rather busy so it was very noisy till at least 3 at night. The room... More
