We spent 4 wonderful days in this hotel after selecting it at random. Reception was fantastic - friendly, welcoming, helpful. Hotel staff were always top notch with service and suggestions. Checked in at 5pm. 32C outdoors. Only a shade cooler in the room that had no air conditioning or fan. No iron was available after 5pm. Wifi was extortionately expensive. Couldn't go to an evening meeting having had hot journey in without cooling down and ironed clothes. Checked out at 6pm. Would not stay again. More

I thought I was lucky to get a room at the Fleur du lac as everywhere was booked out . I found the hotel very pleasant with a friendly staff. Decoration probably from the 80s but quite well maintained and comfortable furniture throughout. Had a corner room with balcony and a wonderful view of the lake and mountains. Room furniture was comfortable, the bed was good and bathroom bright. Cozy bar with pianist. Disappointed upon arrival, hotel definitely did not live up to it's website images. Room was dated and bathroom was shoddily fitted. Breakfast was nothing special, but the waiter is dressed like a penguin. This hotel may have been posh once, although it now seems prententious. Balcony a bit grotty. Beware - lots of mosquitos.
